Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club expects everyone to enjoy tennis in a safe and fun environment. This may be as part of organised coaching activities or whilst using the club's facilities to play tennis with friends.
In the case of organised coaching activities for children, parents/guardians are usually required to remain on-site during their child's session or alternatively ensure they have nominated an alternative trusted adult to be present during their absence. The recommendation from the LTA is that two or more adults are present during junior coaching sessions and this will usually be the case. Where this is not possible the coach's risk assessment will detail how certain things will be dealt with e.g. using the toilet.
When older junior members attend the club outside of organised activities, they remain the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times - the club does not provide on-site supervision outside of organised coaching activities.
Parents/guardians of children attending organised coaching sessions must ensure that the coach has an up-to-date copy of their details on a child information form.
