Court 1 and Court 2 resurfacing now complete
The work to resurface Court 1 and Court 2 for the first time in over 25 years was completed on Wednesday 15th April 2015, with the courts made playable when temporary lines were applied on Friday 17th April. This work has been made possible as a result of a £12,500 award from local trust fund The Teresa Briggs Trust, with the club able to cover the remaining £6000 from its own funds.
We must now wait for the surface to fully cure before the green acrylic paint can be applied. This is usually done after around 5 weeks, however the contractors has a back-log due to poor weather conditions, so we'll have to wait a little longer than this.
Here you can see some photos taken during and after the work.
