£200 Grant Received from Community Council
Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club has received a much appreciated £200 grant from our community council. Local clubs are able to apply once each year, in November, however in 2015 we missed out when no one remembered and the deadline was missed! The club did, however, subsequently submit a successful request for the council to supply and fit directional road signs, which was more than ample compensation.
In November 2016 the club's chairman, Nigel Edwards, submitted a grant application in advance of the deadline, and the community council awarded an amount of £200. This sum has been placed into the fence replacement fund.
Note that the fence replacement fund is more than happy to receive donations, which will be boosted by 25% where the donor is a UK tax payer.
