Prior to his involvement with Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club, Mike had expressed an interest in joining the coaching team at the prestigious Forte Village Resort on Italy's island of Sardinia, and the five star facility made contact with him recently to offer him a position from now until the end of August. To his credit, Mike was prepared to turn down the offer, but our club's management committee felt it to be far too good an opportunity for him to miss, and he will no doubt come back to us with some valuable experience and a host of extra ideas.

 

​Mike hopes to be able to take some time to travel through Italy after he completes his work at the resort, so we can expect to see him back with us in early to mid September.

 

Fortunately Mike has been able to arrange some cover during his absence in the shape of Wrexham-based coach Sam Hayes.  Sam has coached all over the world and comes highly recommended with five years experience as a tennis coach.

 

Sam will be available to run the following sessions:

 

Junior Programme

Saturdays from 24th August onwards, 1.30-5.00pm

 

Adult Programme

Mondays 7.00-9.00pm, except for 5th August
