Six lucky members of Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club were able to experience the excitement of the Wimbledon Championships first hand this summer!

 

As the club is an LTA Registered Place to Play it receives an allocation of show court tickets every year and these are available for members to buy.  Where there is competition for the available tickets the club holds its own internal draw.

 

This year there were certain days that proved popular with several people, which meant a draw was required.  However no one was ultimately left disappointed as the interest from six members was matched by the availability of six pairs of tickets, so those missing out in the draw were able to accept alternative dates, meaning all six members will be visiting the All England Club this year!

 

Anyone who's spent time at the AELTC during Wimbledon Fortnight will tell you what an excellent experience it is, and access to these tickets is a worthwhile benefit of being a member of
Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club.
