With the first Great British Tennis Weekend of the year not far away, committee member Nigel Edwards was approached by Tennis Wales asking if he would be able to make a video of around one minute in length explaining how we ran our GBTW event last year, including details of the online sign up process and our promotion, and what happened on the day, the selling of memberships and the impact of this.  PTC were one of just a few clubs who were asked to do this as we held such a successful event last year.

 

Thinking that someone standing in front of a camera wouldn't be particularly engaging, Nige instead produced an animated film with commentary. Tennis Wales loved it and sent it to the LTA, and they loved it so much that they asked if they could distribute it to clubs UK-wide!

 

Hopefully the film will help to inspire other clubs to run successful GBTW events this year.  Plus it's certainly helped to raise the profile of Pen-y-ffordd Tennis Club and Tennis Wales North across the UK!
